With the advent of AI tools the agency was tasked with a brief to create something using Publicis' new suite of AI applications.

How can we revolutionize the way we create seasonal and quick response content for our social platforms? Large evergreen shoots have their place in the the content stream but these can often be expensive and slow to produce. We came up with a mixed AI pipeline to produce high level content, very quickly for a fraction of the cost without losing quality.

Social assets created for a seasonal post featuring a new vehicle color available on the 2024 Escalade V.

The Challenge

CGI PRODUCTION

TIKI Studios

Gen AI has its strengths but also weaknesses. We found in early tests that BRIA AI was unable to render a realistic enough looking vehicle when trained on images of an Escalade. We also had very limited customizability to change paint color, trim options, wheels, etc.

The solve was to tap TIKI studios to develop a custom pipeline to take AI generated backplates and mix them with full CGI rendering of the vehicles. This way we had endless options of backplates with the ability to comp a hyper realistic vehicle into place. With the magic touch of retouching to blend everything together we had a viable solution to create beautiful images quickly.

Process scene above, starting with AI generated backplate, to retouched backplate removing AI vehicle, then CGI doughboy of vehicle to gauge lensing/size/scale, to final rendering and visual treatment.

Social post featuring LYRIQ Sport. A roadtrip depicted across the Utah desert landscape where key features like range can be highlighted.

Another example of the utility of AI tools. Using BRIA's background replacement AI tool we took an old offer card render (first image shown) and created a series of look dev frames for an environment proof of concept pitch.
